Runions Creek Bridge vortex

Runions Creek Bridge Vortex

  • Vortex Type: Energy

    Registered by: Vortex Hunter #134 - 10.15.12

Saturday 10/13/12 at noon (sunny day, 65 degrees).

We were on State Route 612 headed North when the feeling in my stomach hit me hard. Not knowing where we were exactly I exclaimed "This is it! This is the spot!" My husband, looking for a mountain or shrine (recalling the pictures I printed of Mount Shrine and the Labyrinth in Orkney Springs), said I had to be wrong.

  • He noted the area (flat farmland in a valley, we just crossed a small bridge) and we continued on our drive. We were about 5 miles away from our destination. I sincerely feel the energy found me this time. It was very unexpected, sudden and intense.

When we returned to the area on our way back I felt the sensations once again. I knew we were there before it was said. We pulled over to the opposite side of the road at the entrance of a driveway leading over a red, covered bridge. There is a stream that runs underneath the bridge.

My husband started to video my pendulum reading as we sat in the car. Sure enough, it spins as expected and it's turning counter clockwise. I tried to hold my breath so it didn't interfere with the spinning. I'm weeping with amazement, my heart is racing!

Soon we hear whistling, figuring the property owners were close we left the area. As we pulled away I noticed we are departing a fork in the road – then passing over the small bridge. The stream that was on my left (under the red covered bridge) crosses to my right about 100 feet down the road!

I truly believe the center was at the bridge on 612 – possibly where I first felt the sensation. Therefore I am giving coordinates for that spot: N 38° 40' 11.88" W 78° 51' 39.66"

Thank you for your valuable time and information. I recommend Runion Creek Covered Bridge for further investigation. The ride was from the North through Winchester and South 81 to Rockingham County, Virginia RT259 to RT610 turning past a Chapel and narrow Rock Formation.

Our visit consisted of a short walk from a dirt road to the Bridge. No visible identification marked the Location or Structure. The secluded Structure stood suspended over Runions Creek's sacred flow undaunted by nearby children's voices and the occasional passing car.

The visit lasted for nearly an hour for picture taking, foliage and wildlife observations. Fallen maple leaves were large early in the Season.

The Event had been carefully planned and coordinated to coincide with the Journey home and sensory observations appear bias.

The remaining Trip through Mountain Ranges was showered in moisture until the State Line, where the Sky appeared and the Rain subsided to reveal the Largest and Widest Double Rainbow covering the adjacent Valley and North Carolina State Line.

Moments before Dusk, allowed a brief moment to ponder what eyes had seen and Hearts had felt. - vh134

Note: There is currently no scientific method to prove that vortexes exist. Just because a location is on the vortex map, does not prove there is a vortex there. What it means, is that someone suggested the location and provided evidence or a personal account, and/or we found corroborating evidence from other sources. We do this so other visitors to the site can send us their opinion on the validity of the vortex claim, to build a consensus.

Have you visited this location? If so, contact us and let us know if you think this place is a vortex or not. We will post your comments here.
