Area 51, located within the Groom Lake salt flat in southern Nevada, is arguably the most famous and culturally saturated high-strangeness vortex in the world. The base is situated in a remote basin surrounded by the Groom and Papoose mountain ranges, a landscape defined by parched clay, alkaline flats, and ancient volcanic activity. The region is rich in quartzites, siltstones, and limestones, mineral compositions. Groom Lake, a dry lakebed that has been smoothed to glass-like flatness over fifteen million years.
The lore of the Area 51 vortex was forever altered by the 1989 claims of Bob Lazar, who described working with reverse-engineered extraterrestrial craft at a nearby facility known as S-4. These reports transformed the base from a secret flight-test facility into a global pilgrimage for those seeking evidence of non-human intelligence. Common reports from the perimeter include silent, glowing orbs that move with strange flight patterns.

Note: There is currently no scientific method to prove that vortexes exist. Just because a location is on the vortex map, does not prove there is a vortex there. What it means, is that someone suggested the location and provided evidence or a personal account, and/or we found corroborating evidence from other sources. We do this so other visitors to the site can send us their opinion on the validity of the vortex claim, to build a consensus.
Have you visited this location? If so, let us know if you think this place is a vortex or not. We will post your comments here.
