Haunted Old Washoe Club

The Old Washoe Club, located in Virginia City, Nevada, is where the residual energy of the Comstock Lode silver boom remains anchored in the brick and timber. The club is perched atop Mount Davidson, a volcanic peak rich in silver ore, gold, and quartz. It is a three-story brick structure located in the Virginia City Historic District.

The Washoe Club haunts begin at the spiral staircase, which was once the longest of its kind without a central supporting pillar. This architectural feature is seen by some as a literal energetic coil. The energy is particularly dense on the second floor, which served as the luxury parlor for the Millionaire’s Club, and the third floor, which was historically used as a cold-storage morgue during the harsh Nevada winters.

The hauntings at the club are noted for their high degree of physical interaction and their connection to the tragic figures of the silver rush. One of the most famous entities is the Blue Lady, a spectral figure often seen near the spiral staircase, whose presence is preceded by a sudden drop in temperature. Other reports involve the spirits of miners and gamblers who appear as solid figures before vanishing into the brickwork.

Note: There is currently no scientific method to prove that vortexes exist. Just because a location is on the vortex map, does not prove there is a vortex there. What it means, is that someone suggested the location and provided evidence or a personal account, and/or we found corroborating evidence from other sources. We do this so other visitors to the site can send us their opinion on the validity of the vortex claim, to build a consensus.

Have you visited this location? If so, let us know if you think this place is a vortex or not. We will post your comments here.
