Taos, situated on a high-altitude plateau at the foot of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains in northern New Mexico, is one of the most potent and complex multi-dimensional vortices in North America. The Taos vortex is anchored by the Taos Pueblo, which has been inhabited for over a thousand years. The Pueblo is seen as a storage of ancestral energy. The vibration in Taos is noted for being exceptionally restless and clarifying, often referred to as the Taos Hum—a low-frequency acoustic phenomenon that some residents and visitors perceive as a persistent drone. This hum is interpreted by many in the metaphysical community as the audible signature of the earth’s crust vibrating in resonance with the deep rift below.
Significant features of the Taos energetic field include its long history as a sanctuary for those living on the fringes of mainstream society. This collective history of defiance and seekers has created a thought-form vortex that rewards authenticity and punishes pretense. Many report that the energy in Taos acts like a psychic mirror, rapidly manifesting one’s internal state into the physical world. This makes the area a primary location for rapid personal transformation and the clearing of old karmic patterns. The famous Taos light has drawn world-renowned painters and photographers to the region for over a century.

Note: There is currently no scientific method to prove that vortexes exist. Just because a location is on the vortex map, does not prove there is a vortex there. What it means, is that someone suggested the location and provided evidence or a personal account, and/or we found corroborating evidence from other sources. We do this so other visitors to the site can send us their opinion on the validity of the vortex claim, to build a consensus.
Have you visited this location? If so, let us know if you think this place is a vortex or not. We will post your comments here.
