Rosewell Plantation, situated on the banks of the York River in Gloucester County, Virginia, contains massive brick ruins of the main house, which was destroyed by fire in 1916. The spirits of the Page family and the countless individuals who resided there over three centuries may be seen. Reports include the presence of numerous spectral apparitions, most notably the reports of a “red-headed lady” and the phantom sound of a harpsichord playing in the night. These hauntings are interpreted by the metaphysical community as localized thought-forms fueled by the site’s unique electromagnetic environment, which is reinforced by the movement of the nearby river and the high iron content of the colonial-era bricks. The vibration is noted for its ability to produce sudden shifts in temperature and a feeling of being watched from the empty window frames of the ruins.

Note: There is currently no scientific method to prove that vortexes exist. Just because a location is on the vortex map, does not prove there is a vortex there. What it means, is that someone suggested the location and provided evidence or a personal account, and/or we found corroborating evidence from other sources. We do this so other visitors to the site can send us their opinion on the validity of the vortex claim, to build a consensus.
Have you visited this location? If so, let us know if you think this place is a vortex or not. We will post your comments here.
