Point Pleasant, situated at the confluence of the Kanawha and Ohio Rivers in West Virginia, is known for cryptid manifestation and the intersection of catastrophic timelines. The energy is centered on the site’s history of the Mothman sightings in the 1960s, a creature interpreted by the metaphysical community as an elemental or interdimensional harbinger tied to the tragic collapse of the Silver Bridge in 1967. Witnesses report a sudden loss of ambient sound and a feeling of profound isolation immediately preceding a paranormal encounter. Though the Mothman garners the spotlight, Point Pleasant has other tales to tell. The town’s Native American history and the legend of Chief Cornstalk are often cited as factors contributing to its haunted status. Chief Cornstalk, a Shawnee leader, was murdered in Point Pleasant in 1777, and his rumored curse on the land adds another layer of mystery.

What it means, is that someone suggested the location and provided evidence or a personal account, and/or we found corroborating evidence from other sources. We do this so other visitors to the site can send us their opinion on the validity of the vortex claim, to build a consensus.
