Mount Tamalpais, also known as Mount Tam, is a mountain located in Marin County, California, just north of San Francisco. The mountain is a popular spot for hiking, camping, and picnicking, but it is also a sacred location for many people. Some believe that Mount Tam is a vortex, or a place where the energy of the Earth is amplified. Whatever the reason, many people who visit Mount Tam report feeling a sense of peace and tranquility. They also say that they feel more connected to the Earth and to the universe. There are many different places on Mount Tam where people can go to experience its vortex energy. Some of the most popular spots include: The Mountain Theater: The Mountain Theater is an outdoor amphitheater that is located on the side of the mountain. It is a popular spot for concerts and other events, but it is also a place where people can go to meditate and connect with nature. The East and West Peak are also places where people can go to experience the vortex energy of the mountain.

If you are interested in experiencing the vortex energy of Mount Tam, there are a few things you can do to prepare. First, it is important to be respectful of the land and the people who live in the area. Second, it is important to be open-minded and receptive to the energy of the mountain. Here is a simple meditation that you can do to experience the vortex energy of Mount Tam: Find a quiet spot on the mountain where you will not be disturbed. Sit or stand in a comfortable position. Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths. Imagine that there is a column of light coming from the center of the Earth and going up through your body. Imagine that there is another column of light coming from the sky and going down through your body. As you breathe in, imagine that you are drawing in the light from the Earth. As you breathe out, imagine that you are radiating the light from the sky. Continue meditating for as long as you like. When you are finished meditating, open your eyes and take a few deep breaths. You should feel refreshed and energized.

Hello there! I'm writing to you because of something very interesting I just experienced while reading your website about Mt Tam. I read something about ley lines and wanted to know if there were any such lines close to San Francisco where I live. I was led to your article about the line that connects Mt Tam with the mystery spot in Santa Cruz. Well the map in that article shows that line just happens to pass right down the middle of the park less than a block from my house. I have always been particularly drawn to this park, I go there often to work out or just ease my spirit, it's a very tranquil place. Wanting to know more about this I then came across your article about Mt. Tam and its significance as a point of energy, or a Vortex as you call it. I actually grew up in Marin county and spent my childhood hiking and biking on Tam, and have been to mountain play there many times throughout the years. It really does have a special quality to it like you talk about. Here's where things get really interesting and why I wanted to email you. At the bottom of that article is a comment someone had left you about their recent experience hiking on Mt Tam and how that felt. I had also recently been to Mt Tam a few months ago for the first time in more than a decade with my family and felt the same way, it was a really wonderful time and I can clearly remember how light hearted and full of joy I felt that day. The comment by this individual who had also been there had a date - 15 September 2023. Sept 15th is my birthday. Out of curiosity I went to my photos to see what I was doing that day. That was the day I was on Mt Tam. It was for my birthday.

I am wring today, because yesterday we stopped for a rest on a power spot on Mount Tamalpais. I have hiked this mountain for probably 60 years and have found many spots that move me to go in. Yesterday’s was the most powerful I have felt. It may be helpful to explain what I mean by 'go in', if you have not been a meditator. I taught meditation for many years; there are many methods to assist one who wants to experience a transcendent state. Going in is the meditative state, beyond normal mind, what Zen people call no-mind. I think there are power spots, and the experience one may have. I think unless an individual is particularly sensitive, and/or a meditator, the power of the spot may not be experienced at all. I consider myself a Zen Master these days. I am available to assist you.

Note: There is currently no scientific method to prove that vortexes exist. Just because a location is on the vortex map, does not prove there is a vortex there. What it means, is that someone suggested the location and provided evidence or a personal account, and/or we found corroborating evidence from other sources. We do this so other visitors to the site can send us their opinion on the validity of the vortex claim, to build a consensus.

Have you visited this location? If so, contact us and let us know if you think this place is a vortex or not. We will post your comments here.
