I visited Pagosa Springs, including Chimney Rock, many years ago. This area has imprinted on my soul and I look forward to visiting again soon. We camped in our rv on the river in Pagosa, sat and swam in the mineral hot springs, hiked Chimney Rock, visited waterfalls and 4-wheeled through the San Juan National Forest. I felt it in all of these places, am not sure exactly what I felt other than a great connection to the area, a warm fuzzy feeling and a sense that I had been there before. Chimney Rock was breathtaking, so beautiful and peaceful, maybe it was the feeling of accomplishment after hiking to the top but I was energized and could breathe better than ever before, and I felt an abundance of love. On our drive from Texas through New Mexico, we stopped and camped for a couple nights at The Rio Chama RV campground in Chama, NM, alongside the historic Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railroad Bridge on the Rio Chama river located in the Rocky Mountains, and in that spot where the bridge is, I felt the same peace, and love with a sense that I had been there before. Chama, NM is just seven miles South of the Colorado/New Mexico border, minutes from Pagosa Springs. - Rachael

Basically, I am trying to figure out how to measure the area that I recently moved to in Pagosa Springs, Colorado. We have the deepest geothermal hot mineral springs in the entire world located here. There is an amazing, peaceful energy that is similar to other vortex sites that I have been to, like Sedona and in Glastonbury England. I believe we have many vortex sites here including Chimney Rock, (may be a portal) which is an ancient lunar standstill built by the Pueblo Indians. So I want to figure out how to measure the energy in order to locate exact sites. No one seems to be mentioning this area as a vortex site, yet the residents and people drawn here will tell you that it has a special energy that you can easily feel. We are also in an area that is sparsely populated. I know this area is special and I want to figure out why. ? By the way, we are in the same region as Mesa Verde but further East. - anonymous

Note: There is currently no scientific method to prove that vortexes exist. Just because a location is on the vortex map, does not prove there is a vortex there. What it means, is that someone suggested the location and provided evidence or a personal account, and/or we found corroborating evidence from other sources. We do this so other visitors to the site can send us their opinion on the validity of the vortex claim, to build a consensus.

Have you visited this location? If so, contact us and let us know if you think this place is a vortex or not. We will post your comments here.
