Vortex Type: Energy, UFO, Spiritual
Red Rocks Amphitheater is a naturally formed, world famous outdoor venue just fifteen miles west of Denver. Red Rocks Park is a unique transitional zone where the Great Plains meet the Rocky Mountains. There is a large, tilted, disc-shaped rock behind the stage, a huge vertical rock angled outwards from stage right, several large outcrops angled outwards from stage left and a seating area in between.
Vortex reports at Red Rocks park vary from UFO to the paranormal.

My name is Judi Dozier. My experience happened years ago when I was the keyboardist for Billy Idol. On one of our tours, we played at Red Rocks Amphitheater. From the moment I stepped on stage, I felt consumed with an amazing, yet unexplainable feeling. Mind you, I was not on drugs as one might assume or expect from this band. I was clear as a belle! Something happened that I liken to an extreme spiritual experience. I felt the sun, the colors, my heart was full, and I was brought to tears of joy….and it was only soundcheck. It was even stronger when I took the stage for the show! I was so joyously overwhelmed that tears streamed down from my eyes for the whole concert. The sunset, the colors, and the mysterious echo of our music was overwhelming. I felt as though I left my body, yet I knew I was still playing my keys! I never wanted it to end. This feeling has stayed with me all these years since our 1980’s Rebel Yell Tour. It left a permanent impression on my soul that I can feel to this day. At the time, I was not aware of locations with vortices. I had no idea of this phenomenon. It just happened to me, and I never wanted the concert to end. When I shared my experience with others on the tour, no one could explain, but they knew it was a special place. I felt this positive energy that is palpable decades later, as if I can turn it on like a light switch when I remember Red Rocks.

My Morning Jacket drummer thinks Red Rocks is an energy vortex, but it probably isn’t

Note: There is currently no scientific method to prove that vortexes exist. Just because a location is on the vortex map, does not prove there is a vortex there. What it means, is that someone suggested the location and provided evidence or a personal account, and/or we found corroborating evidence from other sources. We do this so other visitors to the site can send us their opinion on the validity of the vortex claim, to build a consensus.
Have you visited this location? If so, contact us and let us know if you think this place is a vortex or not. We will post your comments here.
