What do you make of this? Photo taken of my barn (built circa 1776) with iPhone camera 04/01/2017. Light stream (vapor) which appears to be coming from inside was not visible to the naked eye. Just after a very heavy early Spring snow storm. Air was still. Overcast conditions. Bizarre (symmetrical) pattern of how snow has broken and fallen from roof. This occurred on the roof facing north, before any snow had come loose on the south facing side... which NEVER in over 25 years has EVER happened. This is not a hoax. Curiously Yours - Henry

Hi Henry, thanks for sending this in. The picture is very interesting. I asked several investigators to look at it and the most logical cause we can come up with is rain or snow coming down swiftly near the camera. However, we cannot debunk that the light stream or mist could be coming out of the barn. We have no explanation for the pyramid shaped cut-out of snow, but find it fascinating!

I couldn't figure out how to register so I could log in and post a comment, hence the email. Family and I just visited Crater Lake a few days ago, it was my first time there. I'm a geologist, and very in tune with the earth, and I'm intuitive and sensitive to energies. Also black belt in taekwondo and very fit, and was eating and keeping hydrated etc. I'm emailing to ask if what I experienced at Crater Lake could have been cortex related. I wish I'd found this site sooner, as it didn't occur to me that Crater Lake is a vortex area... anyway, we camped at Union Creek and had been acclimated to elevation as we'd been road tripping in the area for a few days. Arrived at the park midday and spent the afternoon there til around 5. It was very crowded with little opportunity for solitude but I spent some quiet time connecting while my kids drew pictures of the Lake. I began to feel tired and a little weak and disoriented over the course of the day. It felt like early stages of altitude sickness which I've had once before (but that onset between 8000-9000 feet). I got it in my head that that's what it was and began to feel better once we got back down to Union Creek. Now that I see it's a vortex I'm wondering if it was due wholly or in part to that. Does anyone experience negative reactions like that? I can list any number of wonderful locations I've been at and near without these effects. Interested in your take. Thanks! - Sarah

Strange sensatations, during or after visiting a vortex are the most commonly reported events. Some have told us the feeling can last for days, draining or charging their physical or emotional being, depending on the vortex. A geologist in tune with the earth... the world needs many more like you, Sarah. Thank you for sharing your experience!

Do you know if is possible to visit the Chimney Rock Monument and get into or close to the proclaimed energy vortex. Also, would you recommend other vortex sites to visit that are in this area. Thanks, Cindy.

Hi Cindy, everything we know about Chimney Rock can be found on this page. Can any vortex hunters near this location reply to this post?
